Dental x-rays are an important part of a dental examination. There are two main types of dental x-rays. Intraoral ones look for cavities, bone levels and growth of developing teeth. Extraoral x-rays or a panoramic x-ray show positions of teeth, your sinuses and jaw bones. Dr. Hart uses a digital panoramic x-ray that provides her with a lot of detail in the x-ray.
